About Monica
Monica D. Anderson, a Nebraska native, graduated in 2002 from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska with degrees in both Business Administration and Spanish. While attending college she spent a year studying abroad in Granada, Spain, during which she became proficient in the Spanish language.
Monica fell in love with the Colorado Rocky Mountains during a high-school ski trip, and after graduation from college she packed up her belongings and moved to the quaint mountain town of Estes Park, Colorado. There she began working for First Colorado GMAC, as a Personal Broker’s Assistant. Through this position, she quickly learned the skills needed to be successful within the Real Estate industry.
In 2003, Monica turned her real estate “job” into a career and acquired her Colorado Real Estate license. With the determination to pursue her career goals, she headed over the Continental Divide to yet another mountain town, Winter Park, Colorado and made the Fraser Valley her home.
In November of 2010, Monica moved her license to ReMax Peak to Peak in Winter Park, CO! With new determination for growth, this change of Brokerage Firms has been a strategic endeavor to allow the ReMax prestige and excellence further enhance her outreach in sales for her clients.
Determined on continuing her Real Estate education, in September 2008 Monica was awarded the Graduate of Realtors Institute designation (GRI). Monica achieved this designation by attending a specific, intensive series of classroom instruction covering a variety of subjects including: contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, and risk reduction. The GRI designation sets the individuals who have attained it apart from other practitioners because it indicates to the public that the individual has obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services they provide and that they are a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS.
In May of 2010 — Monica added another acronym to her real estate designations and earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification. The National Association of REALTORS® offers the SFR certification to REALTORS® who want to help both buyers and sellers navigate these complicated transactions, as demand for professional expertise with distressed sales grows.
Currently, Monica is the active Secretary/Treasurer for the Grand County Board of Realtors and has held this position since 2008. In 2010 Monica accepted the Boards Community Liaison Chair position to add to her Board Member duties.
Monica would be honored to work for you in selling and/or assist you in finding your perfect mountain home in the Fraser Valley.
